Hello,

I am pleased to share information with you regarding our Children & Teen Program at Gilda’s Club New York City, which is year-round; please see attached flyers.

Noogieland is the name of our Children’s Program at GCNYC.  We provide support for children ages 5-12 that are living with a diagnosis of cancer, have a loved one living with cancer, or are grieving the death of a loved one to cancer.  The Noogieland Program includes weekly supportive groups (Noogie Nights), homework help & tutoring (Gilda’s Study Corner), a specialized camp that holds sessions during school breaks(Camp Sparkle) and social events (Family Fun Nights).

Our Teens Connect program provides support to teens impacted by cancer in any way.  It is open to teens that are living with a personal cancer diagnosis, have a friend or loved one living with cancer, or have lost a friend or family member to cancer.  Our Junior Associate Board is open to teens that would like to volunteer their time and make a difference in the community.  The mission of the JAB is to promote awareness of Gilda’s Club NYC in the community it serves, organize initiatives & events, provide volunteer service and earn community service hours.

Gilda’s Club creates welcoming communities of free support for everyone impacted by cancer-men, women, teens and children-along with their families and friends.  Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, lectures and social activities, all free of charge.

Membership at Gilda’s Club NYC is free of charge.  Please pass along this information and the attached flyer to any individuals, families or colleagues that you believe may benefit from support.

I would also be happy to come to your school and facilitate an informational session for students, parents, and/or staff & faculty on the program at Gilda’s Club, as well as useful strategies for working and interacting with children and families that have been impacted by cancer.

Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or requests for a school presentation.

I look forward to hearing from you!  Have a wonderful day.
