Anything Mentionable is Manageable: Talking to Children and Teens About Tough Topics

Monday, February 4, 2013

Speaker:  Robin F. Goodman, Ph.D., A.T.R.-BC,

Executive Director, A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Foundation and Bereavement Program

According to Mr. Rogers, anything mentionable is manageable.  But when it comes to talking to children and teens about difficult topics, it’s hard to know where to start, what to tell, and how to say it.  Dr. Robin Goodman will share information and strategies for talking to kids about cancer related issues.  She will address parents’ and children’s fears and give tips for communicating to make talking about the toughest topics easier for everyone.
