The Sunset Park Greenmarket Reopens on Saturday, June 29th

New York, NY—Open since 2001 and set on a hill a stone's throw from the upper New York Bay, this bustling market serves a predominantly Hispanic and Asian population with a bountiful variety of fresh local products including vegetables from two specialty Latino growers, and orchard fruit that is harvested at its absolute peak of ripeness.  Cooking demos, a highlight of this market, are done every Saturday by the New York Department of Health’s Stellar Markets program.

Rexcroft Farms: Vegetables, plants and meats from Greene County, NY
Toigo Orchards: Orchard fruit from Cumberland County, PA
Wager's Cider Mill: Orchard fruit, grapes, juice & cider from Yates County, NY

* WIC and FMNP checks accepted at individual farmer stands.

* EBT/Food Stamps/Debit/Credit accepted at market info tent from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* GrowNYC’s Compost Collection every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
