Friends & Neighbors:
We are now three short days away from the start of vote week
for participatory budgeting. Very soon we will all be coming together to help
decide where two million dollars will be invested in our community.
Since this is the first year District 38 is involved in the
Participatory Budgeting process, we need your support to make sure that this
vote week is fully inclusive of all community members.
We are actively looking for community members to get involved to help flyer,
spread the word, and staff our poll sites.
Please help us spread the word by telling your family,
friends, and colleagues.
Click here to get you and/or
your organization involved today!
Please remember that all residents in District 38 (who are at least 16 years
old) are eligible to vote—including immigrants and folks who aren’t registered
to vote in standard elections.
I’ve attached flyers with information on poll sites and hours along with
information on which proposals will be on the ballot.
Please consult this
site to check the boundaries of our district.
And, of course, we encourage you to forward this message along to your pool
of contacts to make sure everyone in the community gets the information
they need to vote!
Please feel free to reply to this email with any questions.
Thank you,
Jorge
