Welcome back to all returning 7th and 8th grade parents and Welcome to new 6 grade parents. I look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year. Let’s work together to make that happen!

The best way to stay informed about programs and activities at I.S. 220 is to visit parent Portal at: and attend monthly PA meetings. They are highly informative and give you an opportunity to ask questions and voice your concerns. I will send a monthly calendar with parent newsletter to update you on all happenings at I.S. 220

Emergency Cards

Please note that your child will receive 2 Blue Emergency Cards to be filled out. Please fill them out completely with at least 2 emergency contacts and phone numbers. Students will be released from school ONLY to person named on the Emergency Card. If student’s home address has changed over the summer please fill out the official change of address / phone# form in the main office, and include proof of new address (utility bill). Home address or phone number will not be changed based on Emergency Card information. It is Parent’s / Guardian’s responsibility to submit accurate and up to date information to school.


CPC’s Beacon @ Pershing I.S. 220
The Chinese American Planning Council’s BEACON  After-School program, sponsored by New York City’s Department of Youth and Community Development, is designed to provide residents of the community with a safe space to develop their talents and abilities as well as have fun.  The programs, which are FREE, operate from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

If you are interested in registering your child please pick up an application in the Beacon office, Room 117, or for more information please call 347-770-8501 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
