Hello Parents,

Great News for John J. Pershing I.S. 220!  We are on the Voting Ballot for District 38 Participatory Budget.

I.S. 220 Principal Mrs. Witek and Ms. Bolognino A. P. reached out to our Council Member Carlos Menchaca with the proposal to help rewire our school building for air conditioners in the classrooms, cafeteria and auditorium. As you may know the building gets very hot in June and our students, staff and parents deserve and need the best accommodations in order to excel.

Mr. Menchaca was very sympathetic to our needs and added our school to his list of future projects. In order for this to happen, John J. Pershing needs YOUR HELP! Our school is on the participatory ballot to obtain funding from Councilman Menchaca’s Office, to receive the necessary funds we need YOUR VOTE.  The Vote Week will take place from April 11TH to 19th and poll sites are conveniently places all over CD 38, in libraries, parks, train stations, churches, and the CPC.

Our school is located in Community School District 20, but it also belongs to Council District 38.

If you live in the geographical area of Council District 38 please visit one of the voting sites and VOTE for John J. Pershing, we are #1 on the voting ballot under Electrical Upgrades.
